:: Tulang belut. ::
In my 32 years of life, I have never, ever sewn anything before. EVER.
Well, not from scratch, anyway.
But I guess there is always a first to everything.
The motivation to sew?
None.
One day, I just woke up and felt like it.
Yeah, same goes to my sudden urge to bake something.
I just woke up and felt like baking a couple of days ago.
But that's another story for another day =).
So, I bought 1 1/2 meter of kain murah (really cheap : RM3.00 per meter), alah, those cheap cotton material with tiny floral imprints tu, and some other sewing essentials, and started to do it.
Yep..Just do it. LOL.
So, I did it. I sew my first baju kurung tulang belut for Hawra.
And the results?
Weeeell....it's about 80% done, but if I were to judge my own sewing, I'd say it's damn fugly :p
Maybe sewing isn't my thing, after all. Not all women are blessed with excellent home economics skills, I guess :p
Maybe when I'm done with it, I'll make Hawra model that ugly baju kurung for me and snap some pictures and put it on this blog for you people to have a good laugh. Hah!
If she doesn't run away from it first, that is. :p
I think I won't complain too much when my tailor charges us for RM45 per baju kurung tulang belut this coming raya. (speaking of raya, have you guys been to yours? or are you like Martha Stewart Melayu who can sew your own baju kurungs?! :p hehe)
That tulang belut is sooooo damnleceh, I tell you.
Made my eyes juling aje! Pfft.
Anyway, as I was saying, I totally understand if the tailor charges us gila-gila.Erm, but not so gila-gila lah, you get what I mean kan? :), because tulang belut is really, really hard to sew.
No kidding! Serious!
Now excuse me while I do more damage to the baju kurung..Hehe :p
